We are all so excited about being flying to Greece this summer for an unforgettable yoga vacation in the Ionian Islands. with myself and Tessa.
Here are some of the simplest, tried and true ways you can get to Urania Villas.
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get to us and relax while having the best yoga vacation of your life.
Fly To Athens
Fly to Athens (ATH) and then you are a 6 hour drive from the retreat center. You can take the bus or rent a car.
Renting A Car From Athens
That is what we did last year and we had a great experience. The roads were very clear and easy to navigate and we stopped for lunch in a lovely town along the way. The pluses of renting a car is that you can also use the car during the retreat to go to the nearby town and visit the nearby beaches.
We recommend going with the more established rental car agencies who will have a location right inside the airport itself.
Taking the Bus From Athens
The KTEL buses are comfortable and go from Athens all the way to our island Lefkada. The ride takes about 5 hours. It’s €40 each direction.

You can book tickets online.
Fly Directly to Aktion/Preveza Airport (PVK)
Don’t be confused by the names; one it what the locals call it and the other is the international name. This airport is the absolute closer airport which puts you at 1.5 hour drive to Lefkada Island, where Urania Villas is.
Many people from last year’s group did it and the found it easy and convenient.
Taxi From Aktion/Preveza to Urania Villas
Once you get into the airport or to the bus station, the taxi that Urania will help arrange beforehand will be there to wait for you with your name written on a piece of paper. Estimated cost is €100 per car/trip, which means four people would pay €25 each.
Don’t hesitate to reach out for questions, we are here to help 😊
What a beautiful post and retreat!
So happy for you!
