In the Iyengar Yoga Retreat this summer we want you to experience your vacation exactly as it suits you. Truthfully, Urania villas is perfect for those of us who want to feel tranquil and enveloped in a cozy, familiar feeling.
Here’s a Typical Day at Our Iyengar Yoga Retreat in Greece:
First thing in the morning enjoy the stunning sunrise over the hilltop looking out into the Ionian seas. You can sit quietly in meditation while enjoying some tea and fruit. We will offer a total of two classes daily. There will be hands on adjustments in the classes, as well as restorative sequences and inversions.
Brunch! One of our favorite memories from Urania Villas. The bounty and freshness of the food is just spectacular.
It’s you time. Have a massage, chill, take a nap, swim in the pool, get a massage, mingle with old and new friends, walk to the the beach, drive to another beach or tour the small town of Vasiliki.
Lunch is served!
After that, we usually opt for some pool time or nap time
4pm or so
At this time, unless there is a tour that might switch the schedule around, we will have our second class of the day taught by either Tessa or Valentina.
Around sunset the energy will shift. Take one last dip in the pool, gaze out in the horizon, or enjoy a glass of wine while socializing before dinner.
Dinner. There’s nothing better than a delicious meal cooked with love and enjoyed in good company.
Post dinner: hang out with people, play a group game or cards, cozy in bed, read a book, take the occasional restorative class, gaze at the stars, repeat.
Just as in life, nothing in our retreat is fixed. We will adapt to what each day brings and the external elements, such as weather, tours, energy level, or anything we feel. 🙂
